At Clark County School District (CCSD), we believe in planning with the community—not just for it. That’s why, as part of the Facilities Master Plan (FMP), we hosted a Spring series of 18 Community Forums across the district. These forums were open to everyone—students, families, teachers, and neighbors—because shaping the future of our schools starts with listening to those who know them best.
At these in-person and virtual gatherings we invited the public to learn about the FMP process as well as contribute to guiding principles, share ideas, concerns, and priorities about school facilities and learning environments.
Across the district principles that were repeatedly mentioned included: putting students and learning first and equitable access to quality facilities and educational programs. We also heard an openness to change as we discussed what future options could be on the table and a desire to continue to include students, staff, and the community in the decision making process.
Every piece of feedback gathered at these forums is documented and shared with planning teams and stakeholder groups. The thoughts and comments shared will directly inform options that will be created and brought back to your communities in the Fall.
This isn’t a one-time conversation. It’s an ongoing dialogue, and every voice matters.
