Thank You to Our Community For Providing Feedback on the Building Brighter Futures Facilities Master Plan!

The second round of community engagements and survey for the Clark County School District Facilities Master Plan has officially concluded, marking another major milestone as the District works toward a long-term vision for our school facilities. Throughout the Spring, hundreds of students, parents, educators, staff, and community members from across Clark County came together to share ideas that will help shape the future of learning environments for generations to come.

Through this phase of engagement, the project team hosted more than 40 opportunities for community participation, including:

  • 36 Community Forums held throughout the District in-person and virtual (8 were conducted in Spanish)
  • 8 Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) meetings
  • More than 6,000 responses to survey #2

These conversations created meaningful opportunities for participants to share their feedback on the draft options and additional information on their priorities, concerns, and ideas regarding school facilities, safety, accessibility, and the long-term future of CCSD the Destination District facilities.

While meetings were focused around specific neighborhoods and communities, several common themes emerged across the district. Community members continuously expressed a desire for:

  • Safe, modern, and accessible learning environments
  • Enhanced educational opportunities (more program choices and durable skills development)
  • Equitable investments that support every student regardless of where they live
  • Acknowledging diverse needs in different communities and preserving neighborhood identities
  • Ensuring schools remain adaptable to future enrollment trends and changing community needs.

The feedback gathered throughout these meetings is helping establish a long-term vision for the Building Brighter Futures Facilities Master Plan, one that reflects both current needs and future opportunities for generations of students. To ensure every voice has an opportunity to be heard, Survey #2 remains available for those who were unable to attend a meeting or who would like to provide additional feedback, which we will review before final recommendations are made. The survey has already generated over 6,000 responses, offering valuable insight into the unique priorities of communities across the District.

Thank you to everyone who has attended a meeting, completed a survey, or shared their perspective throughout this process. Together, we are creating a Facilities Master Plan that reflects the voices, priorities, and aspirations of our entire community.
